EFFECT OF WHITENING MOUTHWASH ON COLOR CHANGE OF DISCOLORED BULK-FILL COMPOSITE RESINS

Objectives: The aim of this in-vitro study is to investigate discoloration the composite resins with different characteristics which were colored by immersing in coffee, kept mouthwashes and without hydrogen peroxide. Materials Methods: In study, 18 samples (6 mm x 2 mm) pre-heated bulk-fill (Viscalor Bulk -(VIS)), dual-cured (Fill Up!-(FUP)) a microhybrid resin (G-aenial posterior-(GCP)) prepared. After distilled water for 24 hours, baseline colour measurements performed spectrophotometer. ΔE001 color made immersed coffee 7 days. divided into two groups be peroxide (Crest 3D White) (Listerine Advance (n=9). ΔE002 applied after whitening hours. Discoloration calculated CIEDE2000 formula. Data statistically analysed One-way ANOVA post hoc tukey tests (p<0,05). Results: For while highest ΔE values obtained GCP (7.30) group, there was no difference between VIS (3.30) FUP (3.01). Statistically significant reduction observed both (p<0.05). showed change above clinically acceptable threshold (ΔE<2.25). Conclusions: A decrease all materials found as an effect mouthwashes. However, unacceptable or Both provided effective groups.
